Adding a spinning wheel to your presentation in Sidekick can make it more interactive and fun. Whether you're hosting a giveaway, making a decision, or just adding a bit of excitement to your presentation, here's a step-by-step guide to help you incorporate this feature seamlessly.

Step 1: Open Your Presentation

Launch Sidekick and open a new or existing presentation. If it's a new presentation, you will start with a blank slide.

Step 2: Edit Your Slide

• Double-click on the first slide to start editing.

• If there's a default text box, go ahead and delete it to make room for the spinning wheel.

Step 3: Add the Spinning Wheel

• Look for the "Wheel" button in the toolbar at the top of the screen and click on it.

• By default, the wheel will have two items. You can add up to 30 items to the wheel.

Step 4: Customize the Wheel

• Double-click on the wheel to open the wheel settings.

• Click on "Edit" to add or modify items on the wheel. For example, add six different items by typing "Item 3", "Item 4", etc.

• Adjust the odds for each item. You can make some items more likely to be selected by making them larger, or less likely by making them smaller. You can even set an item to have a zero chance of winning, which won't change its size on the wheel but ensures it won't be selected.

Step 5: Sound Effects and Other Settings

• Assign different sound effects to each item based on the outcome (good, bad, or neutral).

• Toggle additional options like having sound, hiding the last item selected, and whether you want to see the next winner in advance.

Step 6: Present and Spin

• Close the wheel settings and go to the overview of your presentation.

• Enter full screen and start your presentation.

• To spin the wheel, click "Start Spin". The selected item will be shown, and if you have enabled the option, it will be removed from the wheel for the next spin.

Step 7: Customize Your Slide Further

• You can resize and move the wheel anywhere on the slide.

• Add text, images, or even a video background to enhance your slide.

• Adjust the background color or add an image/video background for visual appeal.

Step 8: Adjusting On the Fly

• Even during the presentation, you can edit the wheel to add or remove items, change the odds, or adjust other settings without ending your presentation.

Step 9: Final Tips

• Be mindful not to end up with only one item that cannot be chosen.

• Experiment with the positioning, size, and additional elements on the slide to make it visually appealing.

Conclusion

The spinning wheel feature in Sidekick is a versatile tool that can add excitement and interactivity to your presentations. By following these steps, you can easily customize and incorporate a spinning wheel into your slides.
