If you are experiencing issues where you no longer see the control window when clicking on present, here are some solutions to make sure that doesn't happen.

Solution 1: Right-Click to Open Presentation in New Window

  1. Locate the "Present" Button: In the Sidekick Beta editor, find the green "Present" button.

  2. Right-Click on "Present": Right-click on the "Present" button.

  3. Select "Open link in new window": From the context menu, choose "Open link in new window." This will open the presentation in a new window.

  4. Go Full-Screen: In the new window, start your presentation and then go full-screen. The control window remains accessible in the original window.

Solution 2: Use Drag-and-Drop to Create a New Window

  1. Click on "Present": Initially, click the "Present" button normally. This opens the presentation in a new tab.

  2. Drag the Presentation Tab Out: Click on the presentation tab and drag it away from the current window.

  3. Create a New Window: As you drag the tab, it will turn into a new window. Release your mouse to open it separately.

  4. Adjust and Go Full-Screen: Position this new window as needed and then start your full-screen presentation. The control window remains accessible in the original browser window.

Tips for a Smooth Presentation:

  • Practice these steps before an important presentation to familiarize yourself with the process.

  • Adjust the positioning of your windows to ensure you can easily switch between the presentation and control windows.
